Specifically: Henrico County, Virginia Memorial #: 7061657 Bio: John Woodson was the eldest son of Robert and Elizabeth Ferris Woodson. It is probable that he was born in Varina Parish, Henrico County, before 1660... .... said to have married Judith Tarleton... the daughter of Stephen Tarleton of New Kent County and his wife, Susanna Bates... There were six boys and two girls. TARLETON WOODSON, named for his grandfather, was the oldest, followed by John, Robert, Josiah and Jacob Woodson. Their two daughters, Judith and Elizabeth Woodson followed, and Stephen Woodson, who was also named for his grandfather, was the youngest... Judith and John died within a few short years of each other. Judith was living on March 2, 1712 when she relinquished her dower in land that John sold. She must have died before February 7, 1714 for she was not mentioned, when John sold land on that date. John, himself, died before Christmas of 1715. He made his will on November 25, 1715 and died less that two weeks later, for his will was recorded in court on December 5, 1715, in Henrico County...
