Memorial #: 28750494 Bio: Son of William and Sarah (Jobe) Shaw. He was one of the earliest settlers in what is now Rockwall County, Texas. At the time he settled his family, the area he moved to was part of Kaufman County. He married (first) Dicey Emmeline Middleton. They were the parents of Emily P., Hugh D., Thomas F., William M., James Polk., and Margarite L. Shaw. Dicey died after 1850. On October 23, 1856, he married Martha Jane Graves in McKinney, Collin County, Texas. There were no children to this marriage.
