Bio:
Sir Richard "of Polestown" Butler, KG was and Irish Knight and the second son of James Butler, 3rd Earl of Ormonde (1359-1405) and Anne Welles (1360-1397). He Married Catherine O'Reilly (1395-1425). Richard lived at Polestown Castle and went against the Statutes of Kilkenny by marrying Catherine O'Reilly, the daughter of an Irish nobleman, Gildas O’Reilly, Lord of East Breifne.
